Objectives
- To collect, digitize and preserve available manuscripts of Ayurveda from governmental and non-governmental organizations/persons.
- To prepare a national database of Ayurveda manuscriptology.
- To prepare uniform policies throughout the country for the works related to manuscriptology.
- To carry out the courses on Ayurveda manuscriptology to produce trained Ayurveda research scholars.
- Editing and Publishing of unexplored manuscripts.
- To conduct regular national-level Beginners workshops, seminars and webinars on various scripts, methods of cataloguing and preservation.
- To conduct regular national and international level Advanced workshops, seminars and webinars on critical editions of manuscripts.
- To collaborate with other related agencies (National-International) in carrying out projects with a common goal.
- To facilitate collaborative research among institutes having Ayurveda manuscripts.
- To give easy access to Ayurveda research scholars who are willing to work in Ayurveda manuscriptology such as :
- list of Ayurveda Manuscripts in India
- On-going research in various centres
- Published works by various centres
- Dissertation works by Ph.D & Post Graduate Scholars in relation to Ayurveda manuscriptology
- To identify and honour the Ayurveda experts who have made significant contributions in the field of Ayurveda manuscripts.
